QuickBooks Basics

This is a basic introduction into QuickBooks.  At the completion of the seminar, you will be familiar with the most common tasks, such as setting up chart of accounts, setting up payroll, reconciling accounts, and much more.  This is a hands on course.  The computers will be provided in the classroom setting. 

Meet Your Instructors:

Trudi Redman is a Business Advisor at the Small Business Development Center.  She has thirty plus years of experience in the business world, where she owned her own successful business, was a Controller, and a Financial Application Consultant implementing and teaching accounting software like QuickBooks, Oracle & Great Plains for many years. She also has experience in teaching Microsoft Office products like Excel, Word & Projects.

Linda Tait has been the Director of the Small Business Development Center at Lamar State College-Port Arthur for 18 years. She is a Certified Public Accountant and former Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. She is very interested in entrepreneurship and has owned several businesses throughout her working life. She holds a Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and a Master's degree with a major in business management.
